Reputation system

I noticed you guys added a rep system, but please don't make this forum complicated we don't need rep points or post counts.

I doubt they take either away, too.

We've always had post counts since I've been online. . . . it's just the rep thing that's new. I think it'll be good--a subtle sort of peer influence that shines light on the takers of the high road and helps encourage the bottom-feeders to raise their level of discourse.

So when did this come into effect...? And how do you vote, etc? And how do you show who has a bad/good rep, etc?

Is that the little dot next to the name that is different colors for different people? If that is not it, then what is that?

Oh, and if you vote someone has a bad rep, then later you think they changed their ways, can you vote to bring their rep back up, or is it like voting for a thread, where you can't change your vote?

they had this on overgrow right? to me it seems to take aways from nice constuctive posts, because people will just try and post thing that will get them good comments/rep. i dunno, it is kind cool i guess

I've seen this on another board,I think everyone starts on a distxxx road...

The only thing about things that require voting that I forgot is that some people are asses and vote negative about you for no reason. Now I never liked the idea of having posts, but I don't want some one making me look bad because of that reputation shit. I did want a karma plug-in a while back but now I don't and I do not think this is any better.

If you've received any, go to user cp, and it'll show the message and the post commented on.

Look at the top right corner of every post. Click that little scale to bring down a drop box. The rest is pretty self-explanatory.

That square will say different things depending on how many points you have, too.
