Name your favorite chronic!

um... I'm not very familiar with the high-end weed and their names.
I've tried blueberry, and others...
I've heard of white widow, ak-47, skunk (is that chron?), purple haze (which i hear doesn't really exist) and others.
I'm interested in learning about the different types of high-end stuff. If someone is willing to educate me on such subject, that'd be great. What makes them so special, what makes them differ from other chrons, and how much do you pay for them in your area. And of course, your favorite if you have one.
Also, if you have a list of the high-end weed names, that'd be awesome too~

I can't say I know much, and you prolly know this already, but hydro doesn't necessarily mean a high-end strain, hydro just had more THC content.

It's not higher-end stuff, but know the difference between Regs and Mids. Regs are the mexican-brick stuff, very stemmy and dry and has a cheap-feeling high. Mids are normally average stuff grown locally, it's not hydro or chronic but it's not dry and stemmy like Reg is and it's got a better high.

The best weed I ever smoked was a well-known strain called Northern Lights. That was in Canada, where there is no such thing as shwag or even mids. It's aaaaaall dank up there.

Hydro, or "dro" is nothing special. Hydro is just short for Hydroponics, a method of growing cannabis. All it is is a method used with no soil, just water. It sends the nutes or ferts straight to the root and all that does is it grows mass amounts of green in a shorter amount of time. That's all. Doesn't mean it's super duper pot as it is commonly grown with chemicals.

I've had pure Blueberry before, many Skunk hybrids that included Black Haze and White Widow. The most potent high end that I've come across was Manatuska Thunderfuck, an Alaskan strain.

Then I've had the typical BC coast smoke like Pineapple, Mighty Mite, Island Skunk, etc...All good smoke.

I find the crazy names people use for different strains very amusing. But the dankest buds I've smoked were called "apple jack". some other dank strains are juicy fruit, white widow, and orange glow.

any of ya heard of cheese...thats pretty gd and has a verry high demand where i live.

Ah yes, Manatuska Thunderfuck. A bud that definitely lives up to it's name.

Some other top strains are Sour Diesel, Jack Herer, OG Kush. The most potent I've ever had is Purple Erkal, a medical strain pretty popular here i the San Francisco area

I cant say i tried alot but the i liked Jack Herer a lot.

Northern Lights is awesome, but it is a Kush. For Chronics, I'd have to say Trainwreck. It's just so... trainwreck-y!

orange kush i took like 5 good hits and was completly gone my friend had this afgani weed once he said he took 2 hits and it was one of the best highs he ever had

I really haven't had much name brand stuff, just really good no namers. I've had Orange Kush, "lambs breath" (crappy name IMO) and some blueberry stuff. To tell you the truth, I got fucked up on all of them, but if I had to pick one it would be the blueberry

of all the green i've smoked, 3 strains were identified. those were blueberry, ak-47, and big bud. even then I can't confirm if they were those strains.

I seem to have easy access to blueberry these days which is my current everyday favorite, but by far, my favorite of all weed I have ever smoked would have to be strawberry.
That's all it's called but after internet research, the full name is probably strawberry kush.
The high was very different than any high I've ever had in my life.

You know that tingly body buzz in your fingers and body when you eat brownies? well after smoking strawberry, I got that exact feeling.
For smoke to be as strong as brownies is pretty impressive so I'd have to say strawberry.
Nowadays I get blueberry which is great because I like how it reduces drowsiness and munchies.. The overall high is great too, but I still miss strawberry kush which i havent had in 3 years.

Don't worry about sound like a noob lol. White Widow is a classic strain covered in thc (real frosty looking) and has a potent high. Ak-47 is definetally skunk, burns the lungs, but hits you hard. My favorite chron would have to be Neville Haze simply because it has the highest thc rating. Around here top chronic costs about 50 an 8th.

Ive been lucky enough for the last week to have an ounce each of Jack Herer, Maple Leaf, Grunk Skunk, and Super Sensi. These were all the best pot I had ever smoked, but I definately pick the Grunk Skunk. Has a very grapy taste and i can actually go to class and pay attention for the majority of the time.

Had something that tasted like blueberries a couple of weeks ago, so Ill just call it Blueberry :) Was really tasty, and a nice sativa high. Went to a Media lecture stoned off it, and ended up writing 4-5 pages... cant remember any of it for the life of me though!
Had an ounce of Durban Poison last year, and that was incredible.
And a couple of months ago I was lucky enough to get 5 grams of White Widow and 5 grams of White Rhino. Out of the two I preferred the WR, not because it was a heavy indica stone but because after a spliff I just didnt want any more! Not that it was crap weed, but I felt like Id had my fill of THC for the day. The WW was tasty, but it kept making me go back for more. The WR lasted me a few days, whilst the WW only lasted me a day lol.

Those are the only strains that Ive had that I know the names of. AK-47 is apparantly abundant around here most of the time though, so Im sure Ive smoked that before.

Edit: shit I forgot about Lowryder lol. Had that before (my own homegrown), and while it isnt up to the standard of DP, WR, WW etc its definately not to be scoffed at. Very, VERY nice high but sadly doesnt last long :(
Wherever you are in England, 3.5g of weed will cost ya £20, but at the moment its running at £25 because of the drought.

all the hydro ive smoked before has gotten me hella high and it always has a bunch of red hairs and crystals and smells great..but 4 some reason kb is my favorite strain

KB isn't a strain. It's just short for "kind bud", i.e. a general term for good weed.

Unfortunetly the majority of weed I've come across has always been mid grade regs. There was a period of time when I lived in Baltimore that my hookup got a very high quality KB - she didn't know the exact strain, but it was a silvery moss color with tons of orange hairs and an awesome minty scent. Very potent. Wish I could still get it.

The absolute best I've ever sampled was when a neighbor in Florida returned some power tools I lent him, and in the spirit of reciprocity broke out a pinecone of dank the size of my fist. He told me it was organic White Rhino from Vermont. Was ripped out of my mind after the 2nd toke, and felt unsafe to operate heavy machinery for the rest of the day. :smokin:


One day I'll go to Amsterdam and sample all the kinds you guys and gals rave about. I keep hearing a lot about AK47 and Jack Herer...

the only named weed that ive smoked and know that it deffinatly is that strain are:
pot of gold (i know the grower)
blueberry (damn that was deffinatly blueberry, cant really fake it)
AK47 (i know the dealer)

but as for a favorite, id have to say that i dont have one, because if you stick to the same stuff for ages it just turns into the same old same old, variaty is key :thumbsup:

I'd say Northern Lights or White Widow. Juicy Fruit is pretty HIGH up there too. All three had different highs though.....

Im also a fan of Northern Lights. Was the first weed I smoked, it was grown by a family member.
I rarely find out the strains of weed I smoke but always get a top notch smoke! :jointsmile:
