Long distant relationships???

I met this girl ummm, online. She toked so yeah ya know, anyway. We've been getting on really well and i have really deep feelings for her and i think she has feelings for me. But she live's really far away, seroiusly, like half way around the world from me (she's in america and im in england) and she's been going through really rough times recently and she dos'nt deaserve it and i think she deaserves to have a break. I would really like to be with her but its really hard for this to be so. But im thinking mybe if we work on it and stay in touch all the time it could work out and mybe in a year or w.e we could meet up. But i'm not sure because i know its gonna be hard when we're not together but i can imagine myself being with this woman for the rest of my life, and we've only been talking for like a week, but we get on like fish and chips, shes like a female version of me lol. I mean, she smokes weed, she LOVES rock, and she likes offspring :thumbsup: Also she seems almost as sexually active as me (oh wait, NO ONE is as sexually active as me, muahahah) but yeah, she seems just so perfect, and she's sooooo hot. But i also feel kinda embarrsed because its kinda like "hey man im totally in love with this girl..... i met her online", and i dunno, its just you get those sad people that drool over girls on the internet all the time and it just makes me feel like im a bit.. sad lol. Also iv never had a g/f which is ALSO embarresing, but then again i don't give a shit what other people think because i think im in love with her and anyone who disagree's can go fuck themselves and then go lick my dogs ass and then i'll cut the fuckers balls off so he won't be able to have children and raise them to be assholes as well.

Anyways, i don't know if she feels the same way for me or not, but i don't think this is just some crush, i really do she's the only one for me. But as i said, we're very far apart and if we do get to meet up its gonna be a very long time, and i'm worried she'll get bored of me or something. Also, say if we could get the money up and a year or so has passed or w/e and we're in a relationship, and she could move down here and get a job and start living in england so she can be with me, well... that would be GREAT, but its not really fair on her because then she would have to leave her friends behind and her whole life, and i could'nt ask her to do that, its just to selfish of me. I'm thinking of asking her if we wanna kinda be a thing together and to be loyal to each other til we can finally be together. I just don't want her to loose instrest in me because i really like her and would'nt like it to get wrecked because of the distance.

You make it sound like it will be easy for her to move here or for you to move there but I don't think this will be the case.I also think relationships over the net are quite difficult because you don't have physical contact and that is a need in all of us.You don't really know if the person is being truthful about their lives or themselves either,using the cam only reveals what they look like and maybe their age but that is it.It don't prove they live alone,are single or childless for example.

Well I'm going through exactly the same thing. Yes I do love the girl in question, but I live in Oxford, UK, and she's in California!

I've already met her once, but to be honest the distance is just too great. I can't stop thinking about her. I can't move over there because I have too much business here, and I'm not sure she'd like it here.

As a general rule of thumb, the greater the distance the harder the relationship... I don't know how it would work from across the pond, but I could imagine with time differances and work and school schedules that you might not get very much time to talk. Talking is the key to a LDR (my gf goes to college 300 miles away, so I'm doing the same thing). Lots of trust, growth, and hard times are required to do the LDR right. That being said, if you feel like she is worth all your time and effort then go for it. Fuck, you only get to live once and it would be a shame if you spent it with someone you didn't care about.

Theres one girl from these forums that i think i am in love with, obviously she dont know, but we talk and i think were good friends, we both toke, so alls good, and she loves me saying the word stupid over msn lol... She just likes it... shes great, and i dunno what to do, it sucks... :(

lol. Nar, she's been lyin to me. I have her "ex b/f" email address as well, well, she told me they split up, and that he still expsected shit like sex, but a few days ago when she had'nt been coming online atall i asked him and i ended up gettin in a kind of arguement with him, he told me they're still going out and he never said anything about still exspecting stuff like sex when they broke up. Never really understood net relationships. I can see its appeal and why some people would go for it over a normal one, lack of self confidence, shyness e.t.c e.t.c. Frankly I see through it. I can't make myself believe I love someone who talks to me in a box, regardless of what they look like. I would rather be alone than have a relationship over the internet. Alot of people I know fall for the people they talk to. I have a private giggle to myself when it goes tits up, and it always does, not because i'm nasty, its just amusing what it does to otherwise rational people. Well that is why people meet up to see if they feel the same way offline as they do online.How else do you explain the many success stories?

The ones that I think are probably not going to work out are the ones where they are both on different sides of the world because even if you meet and you do fall in love,before you have even got the relationship off the ground, it will be tested to the limits by each others laws.

Well you can't just move from one country to another you have to apply for visa's,if it is a partner they ask you questions about each other and you have to have so much money in the bank.If a couple can survive that then they are in love.
