Since the bill just passed is our only hope that the Gunba will shoot it down?

I have a meeting with Corry on the 17th, I would like to propose that we all get together and pool our resources and take action. I am not sure how to move forward that is why I am meeting with Corry. I do know we are all stronger if we stand together instead of each of us trying to fight this individually. It would be nice in we don't get caught up in the small stuff but all agree that it is a bad bill that should not be rushed through for the sake of regulation. But should be defeated and lets go back to the drawing board now that we are all a bit wiser on all sides and can come up with good regulation for the industry.Quote:

So far everything has passed expect that they accepted the amendment to allow local government to set hours of operation instead of the state.
Just now they approved removing some of the personal info that would be public record for grow licensees.
I also think that they have moved the deadline up to 8/1/10 instead of July.
Senator Carrol has introduced an anti vertical integration amendment to the bill. Basically allowing growers to grow and dispensaries shop owner to concentrate on running their shop. If this passes it could fuck the entire bill for Romer.
Update:
Did not get approved. :(
Sen. Carroll is on our side and we should never forget it.:thumbsup:Quote:

Now Sen Carrol is trying to remove the 5 patient limit for caregivers. She is basically saying with all the other regulations of this bill that capping the number at 5 is unnecessary.
Update:
It got rejected and now we are really fucked :(
they are saying a individual grower or caregiver cannot have over 30 plants, :wtf:Quote:

What room is this in? Can not find any rooms with aduio going.

Sen. Morgan Carroll is really going to bat for patients and caregivers, but sadly she seems to have little support from other senators. These amendments give us an idea how the full senate will vote on the whole bill and it does not look good for us.
so it didn't pass yet?
Well I guess it is time to protest and stand up, put me down to help and stand up, do not know much about the process other than the little guy always gets fucked, but I am here to help in anyway I can.Quote:

I agree, Senator Carroll is really putting herself out there. The amendments she proposed were what people testified about and asked them to modify. She listened to the people.Quote:

I'm finding the entire process truly disgusting.
So does anyone know if they have prohibited a caregiver from helping a patient that are not their own? I didnt hear anything about this during the caregiver portion of the bill this morning. Growing 15 plants the way I do will leave a lot left over if I only have 5 patients. I know that I will not be able to move extra meds to Disp's but I am still unclear on moving extras to patients.
Spence said a vote for allowing more than 5 patients is a direct vote for Organized Crime. WTF?
WTF is right!Quote:

LMAO! but if a dispensary pony's up $35,000 and provides 70% of their goods they are legit?Quote:

Carol is trying to limit the disqualification of operators to only drug felons in the last five years.
Update:
Failed
with all these fails i see i think it's time to show them what fail really is.this is bs reminds me of the movie young guns where the 1 guy was paying everyone off and killing off any other biz that stood in his way.complete bs calling us organized crime.this shows you exactly how they feel about us. in order to look past the "crime" they need to be paid off"35k and 10k for every off site grow".everyone of them need to be out of office we all need to change our emails to these people from being nice to letting them know they will be voted out.Quote:

I guess that's that fellas. Looks like its headed to the Governor.
Just passed.
Stomach turned when I heard that gavel drop.
Mike
Wait...so no more taxes on mmj made it into the bill? Hmmm
:(:(
Where can we go to find out how the senators voted so we know who to vote out?
it'll be difficult to fund compliance checks & armed auditors on fees alone.
medicine is not taxable in CO, so it makes sense. If they want that money, it will need to be sold for rec use.
