well if the seeds came from hermies then you will prob end up growing hermies you might get lucky and get one or 2 pure females you prob would be better off ordering you some seeds

why not? find a nice secluded area that will get lots of sun and plant them. Keep your eye on them for male traits. But most outdoor growers get their plants started around end of april/early may....so you are in perfect timing! Good luck!

cheers for advice guys
ye i got the perfect place for them (Private woods) yeeeeee...
i was thinking they will turn out hermies but they were free seeds so ima give it a go anyway not too bothered be good experience for future reference ;)
i would buy seeds but i dnt wanna waste loads of money and fuk em up outside ya no
i got one fem sk no 1 seed i was thinking maybe plant it with them? at a bit of a distance? what u rekun?
or wait til i get a pad and do it in a cupboard?
-

if you have a seed that is for sure fem...i would keep it and try an indoor grow or plant it in the exact opposite area of the others. Keep your eyes on the other seeds to be careful of getting male plants. Males can pollenate from pretty far....and wind will carry the pollen also and ruin your girls!
But at the time of flower, you see pistils will no balls....I would ride it out and try to get some good bud!
-
outdoor - when should i start
i guess ill be looking for these pistils around end of august time?
and for the males hack em off and burn em, BURN EM!!!!
-
outdoor - when should i start
well if you have the one fem seed i would find a good place and plant it and if you plant those hermie seeds id plant them miles away from the fem plant and do like moody said just watch for balls you could get lucky and get a couple females out of it

The way you are looking at this is if you get something it is all gravy. Crack your seeds on a wet paper towel. Use pots and some decent soil and put the young starts where they will not get munched. From slugs to mice young plants need protection. After they get a few sets of leaves, then plant them.
I'm sorry if I am telling you what to do. It,s just the "chuck them in the woods" part. If you literaly do that, I wouldn't expect many to live. Unless you have like 10,000 seeds :D
Good Luck

well yeah ill be happy if i get sum, nice to try my own grow:jointsmile:
nah dont wory bout telling me what to do its all helpful info:thumbsup: i do have basic growing knowledge and i wud germ in a paper towel and i got sum small little pots to put em in, when they outgrow them im gunna put em in the woods
should i put anything down to deter pests? slug repellent? good job i ent growing cheese or the mice will be all over it :D;)
i cant be arsed to spend money on soil its a sort of plant and see how they do reali, im gunna effectively 'plough' a little patch with a fork and a rake anyway, get rid of the moss and other weeds, and air out the soil abit, maybe put sum nutes down?

sounds good to me why not just go with some potting soil that has nutes already in it like the 3 to 6 month time release stuff but thats if your not gonna be going and checking on them but if you are able to then you can just get the nutes to mix in with your water:thumbsup:
-
outdoor - when should i start
the less i go see them the less attention i draw to them so i think the better idea is potting soil with nutes in
another quick question can u overwater them outside?
if so i guess its harder to do so cuz the earth has natural drainage and it drains pretty well where i live
and it rains heavy at least once a week so do i need to bovva watering them?
cheers:jointsmile:

Well if it rains good atleast once a week i would say no, but if you do have a dry spell then you would have to go water them they have to be watered atleast once a week. And i would invest in some good flower nutes so you can have big good buds. I would think the potting soil with time release nutes in it will do fine for veg but you still may need some flower nutes. Also you dont want to give it any nutes the last 2 weeks before harvesting or your buds will be really harsh and have a nasty taste.:jointsmile:

I would just plant them all i mean what ya got to lose if they all make it then thats just more chances for a female and plus more buds.
Also i think some white seeds are fem seeds, im not sure about that though and aslong as the seeds are not cracked and they look good then you should be ok lol, i love stickybuds haha.:jointsmile:

so im down to 10 seeds now as i dropped one when putting them baak in the baggy and i cant find it anywhere oh well :( shit i just stood on it writing this!! fuck sake
stickybuds are the way forward:jointsmile:
so heres the plan germ all 10 in a paper towel the ones that do put ina 100ml diameter pot with potting soil, wait for the first set of leaves to come through move them outside where i can keep an eye on them, wait til 2nd/3rd set of leaves come through then im gunna leave them in the woods in their pots, and once the root complex becomes too big for the bots im gunna transfer them into my little patch
for the patch i took off bout 4 inches of topsoil, in an area roughly 1.5m by 3m, and dug up all the present weeds, im gunna replace the missing topsoil with some basic grow bag compost from my local gardening store, and then its done. i was thinking maybe setup some chicken wire fencing around the patch to keep pests at bay?
sound sufficient?
anything ive missed?:jointsmile::jointsmile:

sounds good are you gonna go with the time release potting soil or are you gonna just get the reg kind and add your own nutes or just let it get its own nutes once its planted in tha ground are you gonna paint the chicken wire flat camo or do not have to worrie about ppl walking up on ya girls.

i think im just gunna let nature take its cause with the nutrients, the plants grew on the earth before man started adding nutes, and they will grow on long into the future if man stop adding nutes, its just a yield thing reali i spose.
the woods im planting in... only 6 ppl have legal access to including myself and my 3 other family members, and its pretty secluded about 200ft away from the track through the woods so ill just use the wire to keep out animals and such:jointsmile:

before and after shot of the base of my patch bit boring but......:stoned::stoned::stoned::stoned:
the dog knows................:wtf:
-

are you gonna plant all of your seeds there, whats the width and length of that spot ya dug out?.. It looks like its gonna be a bit small for 10 plants un less you gonna have like 3 or 4 diff patches lol but looks good though.
-
outdoor - when should i start
i can always make it bigger no problem, its roughly 1.5m by 3m i thought that would fit 10 on?
each plant gets roughly 0.4 sq m of ground each
u rekun more?

also will it hurt if a seed germinates and i leave it in the paper towel for a few days after they germinate?
it wont die off?

ok there in a paper towel now, i went out and bought sum soil and pots, the paper towel is soaked through, is this alrite or should it just be damp? last time i soaked it through and it was fine, also there in the dark or should they be in the light?

Not exactly, while your yield may be high from a volume standpoint, your THC content could come out quite low depending on those soil conditions. As someone here recently mentioned to me, a good soil test kit is invaluable. I've tried growing females in shitty soil out in the woods. Come harvest time you know I got when a went back 4 months later?.
A 12' tall marijuana tree...and no buds. Needless to say, I left it there.
I would recommend at the very least a time release nute or you may be wasting your time.

Put that wet paper towel into a ziplock bag, then put a towel over it to keep the light out and keep warm.
Keep me posted, I have over a 90% success rate on germination with this method. That's the easy part.:D

To solve the prob sunbiz was telling you about just invest in some good flower nutes, they will be ok in tha ground while veg.
If you have the time release soil but those nutes prob will be out the soil by then so when they starts to flower you will have to start feeding your girls soomthing.
So you have fire buds im going with Botanicare's pure blend pro veg for soil and Botanicare's pureblend pro bloom for soil im buying the lil 8 oz gropaks they are like 13 bucks and comes with 3 8oz bottles 1.pbp veg for soil 2.pbp bloom for soil 3.liquid karma just look it up.:jointsmile:

He can utilize a time release granule nute, then flush etc come harvest. Very simple process.

checked on my seeds this morning and three show the end of a root poking out:D im gunna leave til there about 1/4 of an inch long before transferring them into pots!!
i just realised though that i have nowhere to dry/cure my bud (if i get any)

Cross that bridge when (and if) you get to it. The area you cleared looks great. For at most two females. One of the biggest mistakes you can make is putting all your plants in one patch.
I put 6-10 ft between girls. Long season plants will grow into whatever space given.
If you want to see how I do it;

ive decided on a different approach becuz of the raised issue, im gunna use the patch i done as a baby patch, all the roots have been pulled up, so there is no weeds trying to kill of my babys root complex
then when the get bigger and able to fight for themselves ill dig em up and spread em out!!:jointsmile:
-
outdoor - when should i start
Digging up an established plant is not somthing I would recomend. Even if done correctly it will effect your yield. If you must dig them out, plant them in pots with the bottoms cut out. Then dig your holes and plant the entire pot. Makes them much easier to move.

fuck it see how it goes:jointsmile::jointsmile:

this morning i moved 6 into pots, and put out in the sun, im gunna bring them in at night becuz it still gets brutally cold at night...
ive put them in a small secluded spot up high, where they get 100% sunlight fro about 9 through til 4 so they get all of the sun whilst its hottest and brightest:D
lets hope for the best:jointsmile::jointsmile:
