my first grow, need some help along the road, KB (merged with first sour diesel log)

ok so im a new grower but im decently knowledgeable in it. Im getting 10 seeds of sour d today, and i got a pretty good spot to grow at. its a spot right next to a good sized creak and the soil looks pretty nutritious.

i was there around 9:30- 10:30 and it got a good amount of morning sun. the spot is like filled with alot of vines and tall shrubbish plants, and isnt that noticable. but im a little hazy on knowing when to harvest and the actual process of harvesting and drying, if someone could explain that to me very detailed that i would apreciate it greatly.

and if theres any steps i should take for i because its sour d or any other ways to care for it, that will be very helpful also .

It's almost July. I don't know where you live, but it is really late to be starting an outdoor crop. Most growers start their seeds in spring, just before last frost, and then have them put outdoors as small but healthy plants by the end of June. You may not have time to do a proper crop this year.

Also, Sour Diesels are pretty dense, adn if you grow in a damp area, make absolutely sure they get good breezes and morning sun.

well i live in jersey so the tempatures arent too intense, and im growing right on the coast of the creek so it gets good breeze and sun :P

i thought true Sour D is clone only?

East Coast Sour D is clone-only.
There are a couple seed lines like 'NYCD' that are a close approximation, but in general, the chem family are clone-only and hard to get if you aren't in with the cool kids, lol.

also, how often should i water it and when should harvest time be..?

Read the link in my signature, and the grow log/tutorial stickied at the top of the outdoor section. Sounds like you need some basic information on growing.

Water it in periods of no rainfall, and harvest it when it is ripe.

im not stupid i know what harvesting is but what are the little details i should look for that show when its peak harvesting time?

I'm calm. I would suggest looking at the FAQ forum, which gives a detailed explanation of when to harvest, or the grow guide which is linked in Stinkyattic's signature. Both mentioned above in this thread. They are about as specific as they can be without being there to pour the water. or google some variation of "harvesting cannabis" and you should then be the bearer of lots of knowledge. Chill dude, no one called you stupid, you are just asking REALLY basic questions that are answered all over the place here. Gauging whether a plant needs water is very very basic. Pick up the pot to see if it feels light. If your plant is in the ground, water it if the plant looks even a little wilted, or if there has been no rain for 3-4 days.

so im kinda new at growing, but i got a good outdoor set up wit great sunlight and its near a creak. but im getting the seeds today and then germinating then planting, so im kinda late 0.0

is there anything i need to due differently to grow it due to the lateness? and i have to plant it now, so i need advice how to make this happen

i live in socal so it takes longer for me to get that first frost i can grow out side into november but need to be planted by july unless you can sub light for veg phase to extend it slightly but your plants wont get very big

i some times will flower outside and vegg under lights year round weather permitting

the thing is once they germinate i gotta put them outside, and keep them outside

is that a water source in the second pic? and how many plants do you plan on putting out there.. and are you gonna start them indoors or are you just goning to put them outdoors and let it run its course?

ok so its time for my first grow :D

I've got about 25 kb seeds, but im germinating 9 at the moment. Ive got them in a damp paper towel which is inside of a large bottle im keeping in my closet. and ive got a couple options i can do with it when i plant.

1st: I've made a little garden spot which is pretty secretive. it gets great morning sun and gets a good breeze, and has decent soil. i have 2 pics of them:

I can plant them straight into the dirt or i could bring some pot soil i have and put that into the dirt there.

2nd: i could wait until the germination is complete, then put the seedlings into small cups filled with planting soil, after that i could transport them into the garden.

3rd: i could totally forget about the spot and plant in some buckets filled with potting soil after germinated

(option a: first put in cups while sprouting then transfer)
(option b: put straight into the pots after germinated)

I also have miracle gro plant food, put i dont have the sprayer to hook up to the hose :mad:

so if anyone can help me out with how to use the plant food that would be extra helpful :pimp:

im germing inside and as seedlings theyre going to be in small cups with pot soil

ya im planting next to a running creek so theres no hastle of lugging water back and fourth

and when i say i need help along the road, i mean reply to the topic and help me out :P

I would start them under flouros for atleast 2 weeks in the house and then transplant them. Depending on where you live it maybe a little late in the season for them to mature outside.
Just get some good potting soil,dig a hole, put the potting soil in the hole and plant.

well im gonna grow them in like cups with holes on the bottow of them for draining, and put some good pot soil in there, and ill find a place to put them, but should seedlings get a lot of light of a little light?

Seedlings need a lot of light, as much as you can give them without burning them or drying them out.

i cant bring them to my garden by the creek, that gets over 12hrs of sunlight daily, and great morning sun

also i have some miracle gro plant food, should i add that to the water i give them or no?

This is why you should stick to one thread for all your questions. I already answered that somewhere else. You NEED to read the manual I linked. All that stuff is explained. As much as we can give plenty of help with specific problems, there's only so much time we have to hold your hand, especially if you can't make the effort to search for answers yourself.

NO fertilizer for seedlings less than 5 nodes old.
