What the hell. I went to Tops today to buy some lighters because I was low. I'm only 16 keep in mind. I put the lines on the belt and get up to the cashier and she tells me I have to be 18 and have an ID. I was pretty surprised.....I had no clue you had to be 18 to buy some fucking lighters....what's the big deal.
Has anyone heard of having to be 18 to buy lighters? Do you kids under 18 get denied lighters?
well im 18 so i dont have a problem with that ne more, and i never did, but i heard that you had to be 18 to buy them... usually gas stations and such dont care tho..
fucking TOPs didn't let me buy one...My friend told me to try the dollar store...
Yeah, that's the policy at some stores when it comes to lighters. It's not an actual law from what I know.
DON'T go to the dollar store. Go to a hair store or something. I know it seems weird but those little ghetto hair stores usually carry the better cheap lighters. The dollar stores just sells bull shit.Quote:

Try a gas station, they will even sell you cigs and/or rolling papers if you look somewhat near 18 and few people are in the store. I'm 14 and buying lighters ain't a problem, except from fucking 711.
Im 15 and i stopped having this problem maybe last year or so.
i would be really embarrassed and surprised if i was denied sale of anything other than alcohol and a lot less embarrasment for blunts. confidence seriousness and a stong voice and the thought never goes through their head. just for this im gonna try the new store here for a blunt and a lighter. ill let ya know
