Making Some GD This Weekend, just some Q's

Ok, I'm going to make some Green Dragon on Saturday. I plan on following Master Wu's step by step, but here is my problem. I can't really find any super dank bud. I will have about a 14 grams of some pretty good regs to work with, and I'm wondering what the best way to go about this will be.

Since the bud isn't going to be dank I plan on using 7 grams of herb; unless the general concensous is that I should use more.
Question 1) How much everclear should I use if I'm using 7 grams of regs and want to end up with about an ounce of GD?
Question 2) Do you guys think that 7 grams will be enough? I don't have any problem using all 14. I'd prefer to have some left over to smoke, but I can always get another smoke bag if I need to.

I guess that's all I need to know. Thanks in advance
