I'm very sorry to hear about this Tallulah, chronic suffering can really wear at a person. I hope you don't mind my asking, but what exactly is lupus, what does it do?
I noticed you said she's allergic to wheat, dairy, soy, and gluten. Gluten is actually the component of wheat that people are allergic to (myself included), so we can break that down to wheat, soy, and dairy. As I discovered lately, the intolerance to dairy (lactose actually) I had all my life is completely gone. This is simply because I stopped eating the gluten/wheat which allowed my intestinal celei (sp?) to repair, eliminating the lactose intolerance. The soy I don't know about, but if it makes you feel any better she's most likely just allergic to gluten and soy.
From what I read there, it seems your mom's body is having trouble producing enzhymes and other regulatory hormones (possibly). She may want to consider getting her pancreas checked out, but I'm no doctor either.
There are a few things I can suggest healthwise though, things doctors will innevitably have overlooked (some of the information below is based on more recent research).
1. The most obvious; have you offered her cannabis as a medication? Vaporization would be preferrable of course, her body is under enough strain as it is without the added tar in her lungs.
2. I've been reading some fascinating information about Vitamin-C lately, and you'd be surprised what this little miracle called ascorbic acid can do for you. I know because I've been following the program myself. Vitamin-C can fend off or even cure a large number of ailments, is a powerful anti-viral at large doses, and is very effective in maintaining overall health. You can buy it really cheaply in chewable tablets. The following information is meant to be used as extra VC intake on top of your regular diet. You don't really have to worry about accidentially taking too much since it's incredibly non-toxic. I'll also include some other nutritional information which is very valuable.
- Take one vitamin-E capsul daily. Vitamin-E doubles the staying time of Vitamin-C and prevents the formation of free radicals, as well as acting protectively against the spread of cancer. Not to mention that it's just good for your skin.
- Taking 2,000mg Vitamin-C at once can have a very uplifting effect, a sort of energetic "high". It increases mental clarity and physical energy. I do this about once a day and it works every time within about 20-30 minutes.
- The average person should take 3,000-4,000mg Vitamin-C a day just for regular health maintenance. Start at 2,000mg a day and work your way up another 2,000 or so every day.
- When you're sick with a cold or flu, you should take 8,000mg a day. 24,000mg in a day is pretty much a guaranteed cure, but 8,000 is still very effective. The reason you may not want to go higher is because such high doses can (occasionally) have a diaretic effect.... though it hasn't been the case for me.
- A Vitamin-A and Vitamin-C combo can be very effective in shrinking tumors and fighting off cancer. The best way to get vitamin-A is probably through eating
raw carrots, since they contain all 8 types of carotenoids that make up the vitamin-A spectrum. An intravenous injection of these is optimal, since very high doses are needed. However, that's only high doses of Vitamin-C. Vitamin-A is relatively non-toxic, but can definately cause toxicity (even to death) if used in considerably higher-than-normal doses.
Now I don't know if what your mom has is cancer, but it sounds like it from the way you describe it. What I do know is that Vitamin-C is most effective at treating lukemia at 25-30 grams a day, and can have remarkable effects. This is, however, a dosage based once again on intravenous administration (I don't know where you'd go to get that).
I hope this information helps your mother, seriously give it a try and do some research yourself if you feel uncomfortable with the "large" doses (or so the FDA would have us think). I take 6,000-8,000mg a day for the past several months and have had nothing but good come of it. I've read that people have used WAY larger doses for 30 years and lived under optimal health. Here are some sites that advocate the information I've given you.
