Trying to get an ex back

well im restarting/trying relationship after i broke up with a crazy bitch...the story posted on here somewhere

i like this girl soo much i dated her a few years ago for the longest time and after the relationship we were best friends always telling each other everything about each other, she knows me better than i know myself. if i ever had/have a problem i go to her and she usually comes to me. she told me she likes me again when i was dating <said crazy bitch> i kind of turned her down instead of running straight to her which i should have. our friendship kind of died for a year or so talking to each other every now and than but its going again strong. we go out almost every weekend and talk all through the week.

I kind of asked her out but not really. i told her i like her again and she said Don't. and that she is going through a weird part in her life and doesn't want to start dating again. this was last weekend and it didn't even get awkward between us we are still talking to each other just as much.

i really want to get back with her but i just don't know how.
side note: when i first asked her out she kind of did the same thing but eventually came straight after me....

should i wait it out?
