Good news and fimming question
Hey guys whatsup, Ok 'my' plants are 4 weeks into veg, i've had them on 24 hrs light for the 1st 2 weeks with floros and have had them under 18/6 with an hps up until now.
I am thinking of doing another week veg for them under 18/6 lighting.
Well, i was looking at the monster of the crop and thinking i should F.I.M. it because its an inch or 2 higher than all the other plants. I have read up on the threads i could find and know some people think its crappy (zandor), but i just wanted to try it because this plant is a pretty crazy sidebrancher.
Anyways, the thing is, i was examining the top of it trying to visualize exactly where i was gonna cut it when yep there i saw them, some female preflowers :pimp:, so although im glad its female im kindof wary now to FIM it since it seems to be going to 'flower mode' and i dont want to stunt that. Do you guys think it'll hurt the plant FIMING it now with a week left in veg, and showing the preflowers?
Peace.
p.s. I have never fimed b4.

hey guys, just thought id tell u for the hell of it.. Out of 6 plants (4 white rhino, 2 northern lightxbig bud) i have ended up with 2 female white rhinos and a female nlxbig bud (was praying after i checked the 1st one). im sure the other nl and a wr are males, im about 90% sure the other one is also, just gonna wait a lil longer to make sure.
Good news and fimming question
today is the last possible day i would FIM it if i did (exactly i week from 12/12 start.) Anyways i need to know soon, should i FIM it or just tie it down? Also the newest leaf 'bud' is just above the 8th node so i'd be cutting the 9th. Also, i heard one guy say 'if your going to top FIM.' is this the general knowledge?
Good news and fimming question
im not an expert.. but if i were you i wouldnt. im just a noob who doesnt like to fim i know but it seems awkward to me and given the conditions that the plant is on its way to being a lady i wouldnt want to give any possibility to turn it hermie.. LST it is what i have to say :)

I FIMmed my monster after it was in preflower. She's growing fine. As a matter of fact, too fine. She's even bigger now. I finally gave up on keeping her small;)
What do people have against FIM? It worked great for me. Now, some strains just don't take to FIM or to topping. But if your strain takes to it, you're still early enough in the cycle to do it. If not, then tying her down is a good option. I did both...first I FIMmed, then I tied her down. She's still farggin huge.

Good news and fimming question
I tried a few plants last grow. It didn't work out for me as the plants that I got the cut correctly were males and the ones "I Missed" were the females. However, a couple of the males that were cut right showed amazing top growth. I'll definetly try it again on this present grow when they get up to 4-5 nodes.

tx for the replys, yea this plant has crazy sideshoots so i think im gonna give it a go, she looks more sativa dominant than the others also so a few days or so of stunted growth shouldn't hurt. I think ill practise my tecnique on a few males. Im thinking i might take some clones in a few days or so of a wr male and nlxbb male and have a seperate chamber for pollen. so i guess i'll have to see what happens. Later
