Ever had mono?

Who here has had mono? (Mononucleosis) AKA kissing disease. I seem to have caught it...not from kissing...but from people coughing all over the place at school...god my throat and neck hurt so bad right now...

yea i have had it.....it sucks....be prepared to do nothin but sleep all day and feel shitty

Thnx for the help. i dont really care that it hurts...the pain doesnt really bother me. its the fact that the pain is repetitive...its annoying the hell out of me

I knew a girl in high school that got that. She is deaf now...it only took like 2 months too.

I had it in high school. It was the worst. Terrible, ulcerated, blistered sore throat, so bad I could hardly swallow. Awful fatigue. Fever. Enlarged lymph nodes. And I had an enlarged spleen. It lasted about five weeks and then I got better. It was a drag because I couldn't play any sports while I was sick, and it happened when I was on the girls' basketball team. Like any virus, it just has to run its course. And for the rest of your life, your bloodwork will reflect that you've had exposure to the Epstein-Barr Virus, which is the one that causes mono. Be sure and rest and take it easy like you're supposed to till your symptoms ease. Feel better soon!

no it can happen, If you get an infection with mono you can become deaf, you can also become deaf in a car accident

Im going in on monday to get blood tested...to make sure its mono or whatever. They said i cant do any physical activities or my spleen might rupture. I gotta get some more weed. It really helps.
