I was wondering if any one could help me found out what's the legal age for you to not need a parent guardian..in other words what is the legal age where I can move away without my parents doing anything about it. I'm pretty sure it's 18 but I'm just hoping that some how it got moved to 17 for what ever reason so I can move this year lol.
18, unless you file for emancipation. I'm not sure how one is granted tho.
to become emancipated you have to generally be 14-18 and have to have a damn good reason. I got emancipated at 16 but its cuz I got married.... I don't recommend going to that extreme though. but yea 18 years old to move out and they can't do shit. Some states its 18 or highschool grad.

Most states the age is 16 or 17, there are some that make you wait till your 18.
Some states also have factors that are considered, are you in school, Criminal Past etc.
Sounds to me like you gut busted by your parents for smoking weed and your probably Boiling right now, and just wana leave.

Nah man my parents don't care that I smoke weed. My mom even lets me smoke it willingly. It's not really problems with my mom. It's just my dad. He's just so far from a man, let's just say he's not suppose to be around but he just keeps coming like roaches. My mom acts like she doesn't want to do anything and this has been going on since I was 8 so I'm about tired of him so I want to move before I end up hurtin him...seriously..It's really hard to understand since I'm not saying much or telling the whole story because I really don't feel like typing it all but he just has to go. Either him or me so I'm trying to find out if I can leave this year when I turn 17. Seems like I won't be so I'll try to deal with this shit for one more year.Quote:
