Dude, surround sound is AMAZING. I say only get it if your gona use it, alot. Those bitches are EXPENSIVE though.
My friend had surround with some BOOMin bass. In video games you could hear someone walk up on you from the left side. You'd just tell. And watchin 'Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy' while trippin on shrooms was the most amazing experiance EVER. Thanks to surround. And bass. And the HDTV.
Get one, but as said use it if your gona buy it. Video games/DVD hub/nice TV or somthin.
Mandatory to have if you enjoy watching movies once a week or more completely blazed.
It takes you into the movie and watching war of the worlds was intense for me with my nice surround sound.
dont know what schplongo is but if it doesnt shoot out of 5 lil speakers surrounding you in rich detailed and timed out sounds then its not "stoner" friendly.
Turn the lights off light it up and get sopme munchies. And .. turn up the surround sound.
i have a surround sound system, but i don't hav eth espeakers all set up like they shoudl be (really nowhere to put them) all 7 of them are in a line right infront of my face... then the subwoofer i often use as a foot rest.
7.1 here man :D ! Can't go wrong for games. Definitely worth getting a 5.1 for DVDs. They're cheap as chips now.
Don't diss the cheap under 70.00 surround sound.
If thats all you can afford, its better than nothing.
Yeah I have surround sound.Quote:

I got 2 one at the puter and one in the living room... Tv on the weekend rocks with SS...
my system was 100.00 it's 7.1...
i can shake shit off of shelves with it (and often do)
the only problem with the cheap surround systems is there's always something on them that wants to break.... i used my subwoofer as a foot rest, and because of that it's fucked up (kinda hard to explain but the powercord kept getting pushed in as it was up against my desk... hard to explain lol) anyways, now i have to kick it to get it come on alot... i think ima have to get a new one soon ...
the one i had before this... the speaker dropped a couple of times (not far either) and eventually it broke as well...
maybe it's just me and speakers don't get along?
