Playing in a band

Yeah just wondering how many people play in a band or musical group. I play in a metal/ classically influenced guitar band thingy. If that makes sense. Our myspace is beat, becasue we haven't got the chance to record, neither do we add friends. We just go on for shows. We played a decent amount of shows and we have a really big one in front of 600 people, which im psyched for. I livei n Pittsburgh. Just wondering where you play, what type, maybe some links to your site, whatever

edit: lol i forgot to put what i play lol. I play the drums, we gto 2 guitars who are extremely good, and a very talented bassist. Id say im a good drummer. Me playing drums 2 - Google Video ( video of me playing like a year and a half ago, much better now i f i say so myself.

I'm a singer/songwriter/guitarist/pianist/etc. I use a few different bands for live performances, right now I have a bassist from Puerto Rico, and a drummer from Hawaii playing with me. All of us graduated from the LA Music Academy. The music is versatile, influenced by indie, punk, jazz, rock, ECM, country, latin, etc, and lyrically strongly based on society, including government, and morals. We play gigs in L.A. and Riverside county right now, but I'm relocating to Seattle, so I'll be booking shows anywhere between Vancouver, Canada, and Portland, OR.

There is a link to the myspace in my signature, and the songs posted are just demo'd ideas. Stronger demos will be up in the next few weeks, and masters for an album hopefully not too far away.

I just started playing with 2 other fellows here a few months ago. We are writing songs right now, but haven't recorded anything and probably won't until we start gigging. I have played in a few other bands and I prefer to get seen playing shows.

Right now we are playing heavy music. Along the lines if off beat playing like Meshuggah, but hardcore heaviness of Hatebreed. One guy sings and plays lead guitar, I play guitar, and another guy plays drums. We tune down to drop B for ultra heavy tones. We have about 8 songs written now, but very few with lyrics.

We're working on it though and hope to be gigging by this summer. :)

haha nice drop B. yeah thats cool man just keep me posted if you guys get a website/myspace. If by some luck we were to ever play together thatd be awesome, because were heavy too.

i used to play bass and sing in a band.... now i just play guitar and sing by myself.
