New MMP online game.

Hi.

I suppose this could be interpreted as a shameless plug right here, but bear with me.

I'm in the process of developing a new online game, WWWopoly. To sum it up, you buy webpageâ??s (any web page you want) and when another player lands on that page, they give you (virtual) money. Imagine monopoly, but massively multiplayer online. For more information, checkout the website (wwwopoly.com to avoid linking.)

Notice how I started off the previous paragraph with "I'm in the process of DEVELOPING" meaning it's still being made. However, Iâ??m pretty far through with it, and Iâ??m hoping to have an early test version released in just over a week.

This is where I want help. I need about 10 people to test the game, but I also want to get a small community started. If you think you could do either, head over to the website (address can be found further up) register on the forums and check out the sticky in the development board.

I thought Iâ??d post here, because I don't want a big fuss being made, ideally maybe 20 people sign up to the forums, just to get a small community going for ideas and feedback. I want to keep the project reasonably quiet at the moment and I thought here was place to post because I wanted specifically, a few mature people to test it.

when they talk of advertising they're more meaning people who come here and post ads to sites that are tryign to sell you shit... as long as you're not trying to sell anything, shouldn't be a problem

Its free right? it sounds like an OK game..but once you got alot of people playing....whats the chance of someone going to ur page?

if by "your page" you mean a page you own, then it all depends what pages you decide to buy.

I mean, if you buy google homepage (Which im sure lots of other people will to) you're bound to get a lot of player landing and paying rent.

And yep, it's free and it always will be.

It's hard to explain how i visualize the game. I don't see it so much as a game like "ooh wow im off home to play wwwopoly for 8 hours non stop!" I see it more of a quirk you almost have running in the background, check back occaissionaly and such. But that's just the way i'd choose to play, the beauty is that you can play which ever way you want, you can give as much time and attention as you want.

At the moment, i want to keep it relatively low profile as i said,but once it's complete, i shall tell the world!!!!! lol

All these replies and questions on this thread would be welcome on the WWWopoly forum (Which currently only has 2 users, c'mon people!!)
