harvest: how to trim off buds properly ?
Heya kids :hippy:
Like ok, Im on my second grow right now -- bout to start week 6 of flowering.. so harvest time is coming up. what id like to know is this... how do you trim the buds off NICELY from the plant -- during my first harvest i know i ruined my buds by handling them too roughly and probably cutting too many leaves off because i wasnt sure what leaves needed to be removed and what leaves were actually part of the bud. I was very worried about mold so i try to get rid of what i thought was excess leaves around the buds but come to think of it, they were probably part of the bud and werent sposed to be clipped off... in other words, how do we know when the bud starts exactly (this might sound a bit silly, but i got 6 lovely girls and really dont wanna mess this up!)
I plan on keeping the buds to dry by hanging them by the stems and when they are dry enough, trimming them off and curing them. Does that sound good?
Hope I wasnt too confusing... thanks in advance for your help!

its usually easier to trim leaves right after harvest and you just cut off the leaves as close to the bud as possible or another way of putting would be to cut the leaves flush with the bud.
your drying and curing method sounds fine.

A lot of people use those small trich covered leaves for hash making. Its preference, I would chop those little guys but some wouldn't....Peace
