YO! will this fan work?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Im having trouble keeping my closet temprature below 80-85 degrees, so im looking for away to cool my 400 watt mh light without buying a cooltube. i found this cheap inline-fan on htgsupply.com for about $40 with a rated CFM of 240.
( High Tech Garden Supply )
would this work? Also, would i have to buy this ( High Tech Garden Supply ) to attach the ducting?
also, does anyone kno where i can buy some 4" duct tubes? i cant seem to find on any on that site... any input is appreciated, thanks

Nope - those are booster fans. I have tried to use them before and they are really only made to help flow through ducting. By themselves , 2 of them did not generate enough flow to cool my dual 400W system - with cooltube

I know, sucks doesn't it - I wanted them to work so bad...
Depending on your room size, noise requirements and how you want to route the cooling its tough to say. Are you going to use a scrubber?
Lets start with the basics - whadaya have for:
Room Size
Room ducting (window, floor vent, wall vent? heat has to go somewhere)
Ambient temperature (avg room temp with no light on)
Intake temp (where are you getting the cooling air and what temp is it)
Bulb wattage I think you said 1 400W HPS?
Scrubber yes/no (makes a BIG difference in the size of fan needed if using for cooling and odor control)
