You could have blown your eardrums doing that. That's like holding your nose and mouth close while you sneeze. All that air and pressure that should be going out, stays inward and puts pressure on your sinuses and eardrums.
Be more careful next time. You'd hate to blow an eardrum smoking herb. :)
