I'm not so sure I made the right decision about coming home to Alaska. From my computer visits down south, I noted Alaska was a front runner in the fight for pot rights, but in the year I've been here, Murkowski has been flying here and there in his fancy jet making sure Alaska will fall behind, and be just another state without a clue. Where's the justice? millions of pharmaceuticals are being invented from chemicals that people can rely on to get their aches and pains alleviated, so what's the big deal if a "few" people choose marijuana? It needs to be taken off schedule A (chemical happy group) and placed on a safe to use list. Remember, alcohol, heroin, coke, meth are KNOWN killers, but marijuana has never killed anyone. The worst that can happen (I'm quoting) is a smoker will lay down for a nap and wake up with a craving for strange and unusual recipies to try.:p

Same reason the government won't ban selling cigarettes; they just make too much damn money. Solution: tax the hell out of it and say its bad, but simply reap the profits of having such an addictive drug. Since MJ isn't addictive enough they don't bother wasting their time. They make more money in the long run incarcerating people for drug use than trying to set them free from it. Welcome to the fucked up U.S.A
