moisture/humidity fire hazard ?

im thinking of lighting mounting options and im not good with wires but i came across light socket u can just plug into a wall,its just a light socket with 2 prons on the end of it. and if i had power bar inside a cab would the moisture from watering the plants cause electrical sparks from moisture or high humidty entering the light sockets? or the holes for the prong? and cause a fire or sparks? im thinking there will be so little moisture advaporated from the soil that it shouldnt cause any hazard to the electrical equipement inside the cab, ur feed back is greatly appreciated thanks all you guys

by the way its for cfl's and here is a pic of the portable light sockets though it would be great for moutning options on a power bar

Humidity is fine.
If your humidity is high enough to cause your electricals to corrode and short, your plants will already have rotted anyway, so meh.

However, watering splashes, especially since ferty salts are conductive, are another issue.

You can make your grow safer like this:

-Use a ground-fault interrupted receptacle to plug the whole thin=g into (GFI circuit)
-Mount the power bar from the TOP of your grow so the chance of splashing is less.
-Be careful.

They have those outlet things at Wal-Mart...

I am having a problem with my GFI where it pops when the timer turns on it pops the GFI, so I'm getting ready to pull the GFI since I have to start flowering soon.

There are other things on the circuit too that could be causing just too much of a transient load for a second when the ballasts fire up, so I'm not too worried...

The GFI is your friend if you want to sleep at night.
Don't yank it.
Take everything but the light and put it on another outlet or better, andother circuit.
