Germination/Seedling Question
Hello All,
Question #1--Current Condition--germinated seed has just penetrated the soil.
When do I subject my plants to an 18/6 or 24 cycle?
Question #2
Should I be concerned that one of my sprouts is still attached to the seed shell? (I read that I needed to plant the seed with the roots down AFTER I planted...boo.)
Thank you for your insight...Pics and a log are coming soon.
Germination/Seedling Question
The question of when to start flowering is very different between growers. I just vegged for like 9 weeks and my plants became so out of control I couldn't manage them anymore by the time they budded. The good news is, the longer you make the plant stay in a vegative state, (24/0 light) the bigger the plant will be when it's done flowering. You can start flowering as soon as the plant is healthy, which means almost right away. But it won't grow to much more in a flowering stage. I suggest you veg it to about 2/3 of the size you want it and then flower it. I've also heard both way of putting the sprouted seed in a plug; upside down and right side up. Both were successful. The shell will fall off.

put lights on as soon as you see the seedling sprout of out the soil and the shell will usually fall off in a couple of days, and if it doesnt just take some tweezers and GENTLEY take it off

Germination/Seedling Question
I know a lot of growers have different feelings on this matter, but I would go with 18/6 .... I think the ladies benefit from the night hours, though some would beg to differ .... someone posted a report on the subject in the faq section .... also and most important to me .... it saves on the electric.:stoned: :rastasmoke:
