just arrived

Hi, Iâ??m a 49 year old retired disable Navy veteran with a diagnoses of MS since 1986 (the Navy started doing test in 1982). However I have gotten the old "you don't have MS, it is all in your head", from one doc to "Yes you do", from the next one and so on even up to the last time I got a new primary care doc( any vet will know what I'm taking about). It is tired some and madding and even after all these years it still brings back the feelings of maybe it is "all in my head". I have never had anything show up on a MRI, although I have had some extremely strange EPs to the point where the techs were questioned if they performed the test correctly. I have relapsing/remitting and right now I am in the middle of a relapse and feeling pretty sorry for myself (it gets to even us old timers) and it sucks. My Mom had a diagnose of MS and my sister has extreme optic neridis in her left eye (the same side were my Mom and my systems started) and know my two girls are showing sign of MS. My Mom was adopted in Washington state were getting any info about family members is like getting a bill through Congress(any suggestions would be greatly app.)so I don't know if it goes back any father then that. I take meds for the systems and depression (imagine that) and I am a FIRM believer in alternative meds. I have been smoking pot since my discharge from the Navy in 87 and I am just really getting to where I need a cane. I believe in it so strongly that we are in the process of selling our home on the East Coast and moving to Nevada were medical use of pot is legal.
Enough about the bad stuff, here some good stuff. I have the most wonderful and marls grandkids in the world. I have 3 grandson and 1 granddaughter and they are what keeps me going. It is so amazing looking at the world through their eyes. They can get me to do thing I don't think I have the energy for, all they have to do is give me the "look" and I am a goner.

Diffenantly chick, at least thats what it says on my drivers lience. Does anyone know which pot is the best kind to use for MS? Or it is just like everything else concerning MS, it depends on the sysptems? And what is the average "dose" per day a person should use or that researchers use when they are testing with it? I know that I will probaley get answer back like "all that you can" or somthing along those lines but I truely want to know.

Sorry to hear about the MS. I have Crohns myself. I am 38 and have had this shit since 14. After years of prescribed drugs and chemicals and no real positive reactions I too will be self medicating myself..LOL. I have heard that the good medical strains are probably white widow, strawberry cough and also mazar <--(expensive seeds) just to name a few. Good luck with your journey and if I can offer any beneficial info to you that helps please ask, as I am sure everyone here will contribute as well. I see a variety of different ailments, diseases and such that people on here have been struck with, its just sad that the herb we love isnt accepted as a source of medicine by law. Personally I believe that if there is something out there (natural not manmade) that relieves your ailments or pain use it. Good luck
