how do i know whether a blood test is testing for weed?

i'm getting blood tested once a month, and i only smoke on the first weekend of each month currently.

but that would change if i wasn't getting tested. it's a medical blood test, (like it's a monthly check with this medicine called accutane), and i don't know whether they will check to see if i have been smoking weed.

i'm under 18 so my parents would likely find out if i got tested and came positive.

so my question is: will they test me for weed?

if they want to know if you smoked weed, they would have to run a specific test for drugs... a very different test that they would not run unless they had reason to.

ps- im a nursing assistant at a hospital, so i deal with this stuff all the time. my disclaimer is that if your parents ever got suspicious and asked him privately to run a UDS (urine drug screen)... then you are BUSTED! good luck in making a wise decision...

i never got urine tested once by them. i guess that means i'm not getting drug tested?

i would? even if i was under 18? cus i figure if they were, they'd tell my parents but not me

they are not testing u for drugs. they are testing ur blood to see if ur kidneys and liver are functioning ok. my sis is a nurse at a childrens hospital and they do it all the time. you have nothing to worry about. did u say u are on medicine? they test ur blood to make sure the medicine is not damaging ur kidneys/liver.
