A Serious Question (Facts Related)

well, to be honest with you guys i'm 16 and i love weed..but my parents act a certain way, and i learned a lot from them...my dad got involved in the drug world and it fucked him up well, he faced serious physical addictions and i learned a lot from him..i barely know him and hes barely a father, but i still love and respect him for his past and at least moving a step up and being less addicted to himself...my moms sister got involved huge into cocaine, and she died over a deal like that...my moms been straight edge all her life, so shes basically against ALL drugs and i respect that...im against many drugs too..my mom is seriously an inspiration to my live, but it seems like shes stuck in the mindstate that im younger than i am..its a fact that alcohol pot and sex are what revolves most around teens at this age, but she thinks i havent done anything and im completely innocent or something..its not as bad and im not whiney like most people are, but i started to talk to her about weed..i havent said i do it yet but i plan to but i back up many things because i have a lot of knowledge and she seems a bit more accepting yet still doesnt think i do it..i honestly want to (in the end) have her know i do it and accept it because shes the one person i know i can count on and if something bad was to happen, id feel more comfortable with going to her instead of relying on bullshit friends with no knowledge


so basically im asking, what are good facts to use when talking to her? its not a debate or anything, i just seem to forget a lot...the main thing is i have athsma and contrary to believe weed HELPS my breathing, unlike cigs when i did those and i dont see myself changed one bit when im sober, unlike some people after other drugs..im just looking for good back up to support myself, besides that and the non physical addicting aspect


sorry for the long post, ive just thought a lot recently and while my mom loves me more than i see my friends mom loving them, i dont like going under peoples nose to do things that i support and SHOULD be widely supported..it makes a relationship better to support and respect someone more..i can talk to my mom about anything EXCEPT things like that and sex and i should be able to


i may sound whipped or something, its just recently my moms heart issue has been fluctuated, and shes came close to death and could die and i wouldnt want to feel bad without letting her know i respect her for respecting me

just do some research from links givin in this site and put together some kind of fact sheet for her to read and talk to them about it, be serious in all means with them and dont let them think you do it "to get high"

im 15 and i dont have sex all the time :P just weed yo and i barely drink.

It's hard to see people that are my little sisters age talking about sex, alcohol and drugs :(

Oh, I'm only 17 almost 18, I'm just saying. It's so weird. It seems like I've changed so much in the past couple years. I think that it's a huge transition going from 15 to 18

stress you use it in a safe manner ..could be compared to friends at a bar that drink 3 beers over the course of 3 or 4 hours...even if you do go bomb with it sometimes or all the time..we all do that or have done that at some point...i imagine one of the things that will bring a parent the highest level of comfort and make them respect easily is knowing the child is safe in all aspects of life..and will always lead a safe life..cause if something ever happens to you..it will happen to her ten fold
