Lighters

I have a friend/main smoking partner who always seems to jack my lighter whenever we smoke. He has gotten to the point where he always ends up with it regardless of who has the last hit.

The other night he bummed a cigarette off of me and kept my lighter. Not much later I was going to smoke a bowl before running some errands and had the bowl packed and ready and my lighter was no where to be found. It's not intentional but has gotten rather bothersome. Any tips or suggestions how to train my friend to not be such a lighter thief? Anyone else seem to have this problem with a friend?

Light things for him. If he can't be mature and return your belongings back to you, treat him like a kid, by lighting his bowl/joints/blunts/bongs/buckets/waterfalls etc.

Or tell him to fuck off and get his own.

I think I'm going to start lighting things for him. the pocket check is a good idea in theory but evry time I forget, due to being blazed out of my mind, he ends up with the lighter. He's houdini when it comes to lighters.

Don't get a retractable lighter leash. They make for some pretty lethal weapons, when retracted and let go, resulting on the lighter hurling at a fast speed towards your midriff. And if you suddenly turn, it has been known to follow you around and hit you in the nether regions.

Thats why I said roshambo him for the lighter.

Make a mental note to always ask for your lighter back, or decorate it in a way that you won't forget it. My girlfriend decorated a sweet one for me and I never let anyone run off with it.
