ok i have been seeing these jiffy pellates so should i greminat in a seed pellet and then transfer to a 6" inch peat pot then to my 3 gal containers or should i just use the 3" peat pots then transfer into the 3 gal pots.
also is jiffy mix a good potting soil to use? it is what i use for my mushy grows.

I've never used jiffy pellets. But I went from small rock wook cubes to little yogurt cups, to 6 inch pots, to 3 gl pots.

I usually start in soil. My current grow was started in jiffy pellets. Out of 10 snow white only 6 came up and only one out of 15 bag seed came up. I've always had 100 percent germitaion in soil and won't use jiffy pots anymore. My two cents.

i start mine in jiffy pellets and peet pots then transfer it all to a 3 gallon pot 1 week after it pops up out of the soil.

those jiffy things i never use them i think there pointless and waste of money no offence anyone. i used to use cotton but hahaha it sucks up all the water and u have to water the glass evryday it feels really stupid :) i think best is to put it in a glass half filled with water for 2 days then put them between wet paper towels then plant right into the pot when they come out

I hate jiffy pellets.
I was using them successfully for a while but then I ran out and just put some normal soil in nursery 6-packs...
Whe I was killing the males, I realized that the root growth in the jiffy pellets was like 1/3 the mass of the others, and when I peeled off the mesh that the roots are supposed to be able to grow through, many of the roots had just circled around inside like potbound.
Plus the pH is all wrong.
Yeah, you CAN do it... but SHOULD you?
NOPE!
I made a thread with pics somewhere... I think it's called why I won't ever use peat pellets again.
