Closet drip-system

I am heading off to college next year and I sadly cannot take a 20 gallon hydroponic system and stick it in my closet (I currently grow exotic flowers in drip systems, the girl loves them). I was wondering if I could somehow rig up a stealthy closet grow with a drip system. The Closet is right next to the door that goes into the hall so I would have to have some serious sound/oder control. Mostly sound, I can handle the oder via kitty litter filters, and ozium if things get crazy.

PS. Do rooms in colleges ever get searched for no reason? Do they have random searches in dorms to make sure nobody is stashing illegal things?

you're crazy to try it. You will lose your tuition when you get caught. There are fire drills all the time and if there is anysuspicion that you are doing something illegal, they will search your room while you are standing outside for a fire drill. Penalties are multiplied if it is near a school.


But I'd envy your balls if you pulled it off. I would try to find an apartment nearby to set up in, make friends with a local or rent an apartment.

even the smallest of grows emit odors that cannot be removed without serious ventilation plans (not masking the odor).

I do have a very good friend who has an appartment off campus, and he lives with his GF (they both smoke alot). I'll just do it at his appartment then :) Thanks for the advice.

Yes they can search at will, and some of them do. You can loose your funding and be kicked out of school if they find just one joint let alone a plant growing.

Why take the chance with your future, there is plenty of time in your life to grow weed. :cool:

I'll just wait. I am going to the University of Amsterdam to study Macroeconomics in 2 years anyways... I'll have plenty of fun over there, except when I have to move my grow room to a friends house for a couple days when family visits. Thanks for the good advice once again.

I could quit smoking for two years while in college in the US, it is probably for the best. I'll just go back on prescription OCD and muscle spasm medicine again, (take a very small hit in the morning, then about at 3pm, then at 8 if I am going out and I am fine)

Ya like everyone said, it is a good idea to think about your future and grow someplace else. Also be wary of your "friends" though because it is usually this type of thing that tests a true friendship. Anyways, good luck.
