Unfortunately it was "non-binding". There way of doing it without actually doing it.
They realize that pulling out of Iraq is NOT an option. This is the only thing they've got to satisfy "Joe Public".Quote:

What difference does it make if they send 21,000 more soldiers? They know they can't win in Iraq. It's pointless to go further. The US must withdraw immediately. Your military leaders in their infinite wisdom sure had everything planned about before they did the invasion.
This is exactly why George Bush Sr. never occupied Iraq because he knew there was no way out.
