Ive been trying many different ways to keep it fresh. I just heard store it in tightly contained areas where it need to stay cold to stay fresh.
right now its in an empty prescription drug bottle in my car parked in my cold garage. will this help to keep it fresh for a week - 2 weeks?
From experience (I live in Washington where it gets ridiculously cold this time of the year and I have to sometimes keep my bud in my car) I can tell you that unless you've got your bud sealed tightly inside a bag, and have that bag sealed in the prescription bottle and have that bottle stored snugly away then your ganja will lose some of its moisture and dry out. And even if you have done all of that, if it is below 32 degrees fahrenheit in your garage/car then there is still a chance it might dry out. Your bud drying out due to extreme cold won't really take away any of its potency but you'll find that the smoke will be harsher and will burn to ash a lot faster than it would have. If you have to keep it in your car during real cold weather then just make sure you can put as many barriers/layers between the air and your weed. That should help
Many say you put an orange peel in the bag with the weed to keep it fresh.
but not for too long or it will get moldy. It'd be better to get like a baby food jar and seal that shit tight so no air is getting at it.Quote:

i keep my herb in a small glass jar, thats it.
i can keep that in room temperature for 3 months and smoke it and it will be better than when it went in it, herb has never gone bad on me using glass jars.
my jar fits just under a half O of herb the perfect size.
i have a little mustard sample jar that can fit a stuffed quarter
