Finally....

Well after reading these boards for awhile and getting the OK from the roomies ill be starting a grow. Money isnt really an issue but since it is a first grow im going to try soil and cfl lighting. I also have about 12 seeds from various sacks over the months of some decent strains. The space i got is 23" x 19" x 11" (picture included). My only real question as of now is i really wanted a good solid list for when i go shopping for the supplies today. For that space and 2 plants how many CFL lights and watts? I will be using mylar for the sides top and such. Soil i was thinking fox farm. What nutes will i need? So if anyone could give me a solid list so that i get the right stuff for today would be great guys, pics will be coming in the near future for sure after this set up gets goin.

Looks as if the cabinet is in the bathroom. I hope you don't plan on having company! When others use the john,they tend to snoop when behind closed doors! You got alot to take into consideration! First off you should tell no one that you are gonna grow! Loose lips sink ships! You should have built you a box and pit it in the clost of your bedroom and told neither one of them.Put a lock on your door! It's gonna be nuttin' but trouble for you to finish this grow without another knowing about it! Then it's a chain reaction! You know the rest of the story! If you still wanna do this after reading several post of do's and don'ts,then I'll be glad to be of assistance! I'm sure there are others here that will be of some help as well! Your saftey is the most important thing for sure! Don't take freedom for granted!

Thats why i love this board instant response and very friendly!!! Yes ive been reading about the do's and dont's, my roomies are my two younger sisters. Which means i wont have too much to worry about they are pretty secretive. The grow box is actually in my room and will be the entire time, smell is definatly not an issue. But yes back to the list i would greatly appreciate a list of the cfl's i will need (going to home depoot today), and soil/nutes. Also do the CFL's plug right into the wall outa the package?

If your gonna go to home depot,go around to the isle with the security lights on it.They have some 105 watt cfl's there! That would be my choice.They run about 12-15 bucks each.You will still need the socket and cord's! You can get that about 2 isle's down from there on the left hand side from the from of the store.If someone asked do you need help say your just lookin'! Be smart! I use a mix called metro mix,or pro mix! That will run you about 14.99 for a 50 lb bag.You could look around for a smaller bag.Just look at the mix prcentages on the bag and get the one with the most perilite and vermiculite!Happy shopping,Dawg!

good stuff man, on the cfl's how man of those 105 watts ya think ill need for my two plants? What about mylar should i grab some of that? Also i was gonna order some fox farm off the internet what ya think bout it? Do i need to get any nutes?

For the nutes at this stage I would get peter's 20-20-20.Mix it at 1/4 or 1/2 strength.Just use ph'd water until they have established thierselves,6.8 would be the ph of the water.As for the lightGet 1-105 and 2 of the smaller cfl's on the light bulb section which is over by the grills on the left.A 15 watter is equivalent to a 60 watt incandesant bulb.Get the cords and socket that are the drop cord type.Go to walmart and get one of those emergency blankets in the camping section for bout a buck! It's mylar!Fox farm is good! If you have a small garden center where you are? Then you can find the soil there!

Ok well got the FF Ocean Forest, i didnt get the Peters nutrients the guy suggested FF grow big and tiger bloom.When adding these nutrients what is the process? I am extreamly new to growing indoors under CFL's and nutrients and such. I've pulled off a few outdoor grows with no problem. So any help on how to mix it would be great, i am only growing two plants so just enough for the two.

the only part im really stumped on is the nutrients, like i said i got the FF Grow big and tiger bloom, so for my two plants when it does come to time to add those how would i do so? mixing and adding?
