Well I was in my Dad's attic and I see a bunch of Flouresent(?) lights just there. I look at them and they are plant lights. I moved out around 2 months ago to a house with 2 room mates and wanted to grow some bud. Right then an idea came to my head, could I use those lights (They are 40 watt, 48 inch, "plant and aquarium" Floresent(?) lights) and get the same results as a HPS system (I get paid in Wednesday and was going to drop 200 bones on the HPS)?.
If you do decide to buy a HPS system. I would go with the 400 or the 600watt. I'm fixin' to upgrade to the 600 digital electronic.Right now,I got 3 400 watters and 2 of them are HPS and 1 MH.That would be HPS=S51 ballast,and the MH=S54 ballast.Good luck on making ya mind up! And your decision to grow! Are your buddies gonna know your gonna do a grow? If so? Be very careful!!!!! Make damn sure you don't piss them off! Bad things could come of that!
