do you have a good relationship with them
or do you just put up with em and suffer
its not easy when you hook up with someone who has kids already
i myself have no problems with other kids but i feel like it just wont work

i would like to hear some real stories ....good and bad
i have a step-mom and i would say that i have a neutral relationship with her. It's by no means good, and it would probably be bad if I weren't such a nice, non-confrontational person who puts up with her bitchy comments all the time. She is one of those people who is constantly trying to 'up' your negative experience/story, with one of her own. Basically it's always "feel sorry for me, feel sorry for me" and she always has her nose in other peoples business. She pisses me off constantly, but like I said, I just put up with it. I don't live with her and my dad anymore (thank god) so it's not too bad anymore... I have just inherited a new step-dad, and so far things have gone really well with him- so I hope they stay that way! One other thing, my step-mom has a daughter, and my step-dad has two sons, and they are all totally kick-ass so regardless of my relationship with my step-parents, i always have my step-sibs. :)
i had 2 kids under one when i met my wife and she had no problems with the step kid thing she took right to it it might be different with older kids i dont know but me and her had 2 more and i have my 2 all the time now there 8 8 6 and4 and were one big happy family

Have a step-mom. Hated her at first, matured, found her pretty awesome, but then she started interfering in me and my father's arguments.
Nottttttt happenin' bitch.
Fixed it pretty quick,
and now everythings running nice and smooth.
Edit: From an adults perspective this would probably portray me as relatively rude, immature, I dunno.
I don't like people having power over me.
