Busted by cops for the first time.
Me and my mate were blazing it down in the graveyard (usual smoking spot) and i was rolling the last spliff after having smoked 3 when i look up and there's 1 copper and 1 community support about 5 yards away from us. As we were sat on the floor and already damn stoned we didnt have a chance to run. The only reason they came over is because they heard our music.
Bear in mind that i was mid-skinning. The cop says "what you got there?" so i tell him i just got a bit of weed. He asks me if i have any more and i present him with an empty baggie. But i still get searched as i had drugs in my possession. Whilst being searched he found metal grinder and scales on me but didnt care.
My mate didnt get searched as they had no reason to search him. Whist they were filling in the neccessary forms we were just chatting to them and having jokes with the fit community support officer. She said something like "What would the vicar say if he knew you were smoking in his church yard" and i said "Nah, he comes and joins us sometimes."
No further action was taken as it was only personal and we're both over 18. Was a bit bummed out about the joint being taken as it was a fatty but still, its a story to tell. (and i got a copy of the report to stick on the wall of my house back at uni).

you are pretty lucky in canada if u get caught with pot and a scale on you could get charged with "traffiking". i dont know if they would charge you with that if you only had a joint on you..

That doesn't suck at alllll. In the states, you would have been ass raped, with that scale? That's a pretty hefty charge.
I don't live there obviously enough... and I realize it's state depending, but could a scale.. or a "distribution" charge.. constitute jail time if your over 18?
Here in Canada, cop depending, it would have been the same deal as you got. They just would have been dicks about it. Some cop's here can be real asses about it though. I have a friend, that through a trespassing charge, also received some ridiculous "Intent to commit mischievous acts" charge for having a lighter as well.
It was a butane BBQ lighter, and he probably looked pretty baked.... but still, it's just a lighter.

My friend just dropped me off after smoking, both baked as hell, and a cop followed us all the way from across the street and in to the complex. Thought we were going to get busted with a dub on us. Was scared shitless lol. Turns out he lives here. Whew, homefree :stoned:
And that sucks man, at least you didn't get booked for the other shit you had.

i can't say it sucks that bad in every place in the states. in hawaii, the cops NEVER busted anyone for either possession or mip's. where i currently live, with the past elections, the city passed an ordinance placing marijuana on the cops lowest priority, lower than alcohol. all they do now is confiscate the weed and paraphinilia, which sucks, but is better than getting a huge fine. this happened to a friend of mine not too long ago.

Me and my bro were surprised by a police car pulling up by us down my road at home. I put the rest of the joint in my zippo and left it in my pocket. Turns out the bobbies wanted to make sure we weren't car jacking but smelled the draw on my breath and then wanted to search us. They were pretty cool, just making conversation and telling us about car thieves, then went off on their way. Most of the cops i've met are pretty cool in the UK but you hear stories about the twat patrol.

woa you got off SO easy... down here in canada if they find a scale on you or even multiple empty baggies you will be charged with intent to sell.. you are one lucky mofo :)
