Direct correlation between bud developement/amount of light plant receives?

I am about three weeks into 12.12 and have begun rotating my plants in the past week or so. I am trying to figure out which ones need the light the most, so is it safe to say that the plants with the least amount of bud developement belong getting rotated into the middle so they receive alot of light?

Also buying some bricks today and I am going to make it so all the plants are on an even canopy. This should help as well.

Any advice is appreciated.

IMHO the best way to do your rotating is to put the shortest plants in the middle and the taller ones on the outside, that way no one gets shaded by its neighbor. As for bud development determining placement, meh, just make sure that they all get as much light to the LEAVES as possible, and if you have room to play around, you can stake them diagonally so that the entire stem and low bud sites are exposed.

even canopy is a good idea. I use pots turned upside down. it works well cuz i've got so many different sizes of pots.

Stinky...can you elaborate a bit on the staking diagnally? Having a hard time picturing it. I am a bit fearful my plants are crowding each other a bit on the lower bud sites, can this be a problem?

stinky...dont have much room to play around with because i have 32 plants under 2000 watts....so i think what you are referring to would be counter productive...yes?

Oh sorry I was off the boards for the night, lol... staking diagonally... just picture your whole plant leaning to one side and tied that way...
IF you have any soil surface exposed to light you should lean them over so that ALL the light hits the plants. Otherwise, it's kind of 6 of one half a dozen of the other, ya know?

Yeah, refer to my thread, I start bending em down. I described the method I used in the grow log. Curious if u meant the same thing, they are def leaning over more now, which is cool because not only does light penetrate deeper, but also more of the cola is getting exposed to the powerful HPS. Curious, does this increase the chances my buds will need to be held up by string attached to the ceiling? I would have to assume so, and that was one thing I really didnt wanna do..looks like a bitch

You can add some CFL to the lower branches and the lower buds that will but your idea of having an even canopy is the best idea you have had. Your thinking is correct that an even canopy will provide even light.
