the unlucky few..?

am i one of the unlucky few?

having read as much of these forums as i can i get the general feeling everyone has posative effects from cannabis, and i havent read much about people having issues.

i started smoking when i was 13 and im now 23, its been preety much daily for the last 10 years averaging 2 grams per day. used to really enjoy it and still do..but now i have very bad paranoia,deppresion,loss off confidence,and lack of motivation.

i still smoke but cant help thinking my life would be so much better had i not started, but am i the only one that feels like this?

to me it sounds liek marijuana is controlling your life...
I know people that smoke up to an ounce a day (mainly medicinal patients) for years on end, and they are fine

make sure marijuana is a good addition to your life and not your life

You need to take a break.

Take a long break. Then only smoke to reward yourself for doing something that needs to be done.

Well, mostly its you.
And marijuana has no proven facts that it makes you depressed,less motivatted, etc.
But usually its the person really.

i did take a break for 10 months after i got to breaking point, but started again a few months back, down to boredom i think.. it dose controle my life to an exstent i guess:O

but the fact i quit completly for 10 months shows i can do it, but do i want to lol^^

If it means you getting higher, just do it, its worth it in the end...

Take a break and get your shit straight! Trust me, about a year ago I found myself in the same situation about a year ago. I feel into this serioius bout of depression and couldn't seem to get out of it. I gave up weed for about a month, got a new job as I had lost my old one (which was due to the depression,) and got my life back in order.

Now I'm back to my healthy stoner self. I know the feeling bro. Most likely taking a break will be enough for you, but if it isn't, I would consider giving up the herb all together. Best of luck to ya.

Sometimes I think I'm the only person on this board who is still sane. Its probably because I waited until I got to college to start enjoying the P.O.T.

Look at how many "my mom found my stash" or "my mom is madd at me:( " threads there are. This is a board full of kids who are going nowhere in their schools. My sister and I graduated from a really shitty south texas school. I made it to college and she made it to an Ivy League school. Education is important in my family, and it really is sad to see some of these kids smoke their life away.

I really don't think kids under 18 should smoke it. I smoked before I was 18, but it was only 4-5 times before i got to college. I know some potheads I went to school with that didn't go anywhere. I barely graduated because I never came to class....but I still graduated top 10%. As a person who didn't spend my teenage years stoned, I can honestly say that MJ limits your potential......and I say that as I light this here bowl.:stoned:

It seems as though you assume you can go no where in life without attending a university. What about people who aren't interested in making large sums of money? All my life I've grown up getting A's, and then when I started High School, things started to change. I still payed attention in class, absorbed the material, studied it, and understood it, but I didn't care. I could flourish under higher education, and probably do close to whatever I wanted if I tried. But I don't.

It seems like all people care about anymore is getting as high on the social ladder as they can with a spotless career path, an impressive education, a nice house, and all that good stuff. I don't want all that -- I would be just as happy working a meaningless job, so long as it was enough to supply me a decent living. Do I have an interest in some branches of education? Yes. Will I pursue them? Probably. Will I obtain a degree? Probably not.

People should stop worrying about something as trivial as a grade. I think a large portion of the lack of motivation from the general consensus in schools has a lot to do with lack of freedom of choice. Can you take philosophy? Sure. Will it help you get a degree? Nope, just be sure to learn advanced math that you will forget 5 years down the road. And don't forget to fulfill the science requirements, even if it has nothing to do with anything you will ever attempt in your life.

Sorry for the essay, just venting a bit. I'm sick of this stigma that comes with an apparent lack of "motivation" towards education. Perhaps it is a case of a lack of interest rather than the former.
