Hello guys,
I had been an overgrow member in the past and got my first and only decent grow. 1 out of 1 ain't bad. But its all bad now. here it goes.
I had 4 moms (cut from a good mother plant) of three varietys. Purple Ice, purple Cream and Amethyst(two of this type). Under Deep water culture with airstone bubblers, in 4 inch netpots with a plug of rockwool surrounded by expanded clay pellets, they were all apx 6-9 inches tall and pretty bushy. Grown under a 400w mh about 4 feet above them. Only in Veg state as of now. all at aboutn 78 - 80 degrees, and 40-50% humidity.
All was well for over two months then one day I noticed that some of the lower pre-flowers crumbled to the touch and smelled cured. then the next morning I found that one amethyst just dried up like it was cured within 6 to 8 hours. I check them several times a day. The water temp was fine, roots looked good, Ph, Nute strength, good aeration, good venting of fresh air, all looked fine. I chucked the plant immediately. =(
Then within three days after the other amethyst took a dive without any tell tale signs before. Same thing went to bed, it looked good, woke up...fried and dead.
about a week or so later...my purple cream died within two hours of checking it last. it shriveled up as if it had no water, but the rocks were nicely moist. not too much and not too little. even the roots looked good.
This was a few days ago that the purple cream took that dive. That is the one I really wanted to keep out of the three.
Now here is the problem... I have found that within a mere 2 hours or so single leaves are shriveling up, one by one. I took some pics. Please let me know if any of you can help...take care..
