does it have to be exact 12/12 for flowering ? or can it be 1 hour to the right or to the left ? because the 12/12 doesn't really fit my schedule and I can't switch it at the exact time.

either buy a timer(make sure that it can switch the powerloading of your lamp) or I would try the 13hours dark/ 11 hours light. Im no expert though so if somebody disaggrees please correct me
as long as you get 12 hours minimum, darkness.
buy a timer...it'll pay for itself, (that is, if you agree with me when I say that time=money)

Some equateorial sativa's require 13 hour of darkness to flower, but most strains will need 12 minimum, so add darkness instead of losing it.
get a timer mate.
12/12.
check it daily if its a cheapy, they can weld shut in the on or off position easily sometimes.
When I reduced my plant from 18/6 to 12/12 it started at nine in the morning and shut off at 9 at night (from a timer) BUT it was not in a closet or anything, so it's still getting sunlight at about 6:40 in the morning, and some light from the lights being on at night and it still is budding just fine, so I don't think it needs to be exact, just a reduction in light and time (sadly it's a male, but I'm gonna mate it with my friends strain.)
The excess light probaly caused the plant stress an it went male???????
no, it is determined before it even sprouts growalot.
totally agree, probably hermie. total darkness is important. ive had plants in the situation where light somehow gets in, and they always turn to shit, or just not as good as you know they should be.Quote:
