Does anyone else hate when company talks about how high they are?

I love my friends and all because we all smoke together, but some of them that aren't as close to me really annoy me during our smoke sessions. The only words you keep hearing from them are "dude, I'm so fucked up.." or "I'm sooo high right now", you get the picture. And it's just like, okay.. we know. We smoke nearly every day and you say the same shit over & over. I'd understand maybe once or twice, depending on how strong it is. But it's like, ritual for them. I don't say anything about it because that's a real personal thing to discuss, and I'd feel really bad for confronting them with it. It's not THAT bad.. but still.

I don't know if I'm being overly bitchy about it, but c'mon.. just enjoy it.

I feel the same when my friends do it. They do the same when we drink. It's annoying but unless they are the type of friends that won't take offense to you speaking up then I don't think there's anything you can do about. I have the same issue. I'm sure a lot of people do.

No, I completely understand. I, too, suffer from the fact I don't follow along with most of the cannabis culture/community.

They always talk about how 'fucked up' or high they are, they can't seem to understand the concept of not smoking when someone offers you, and they think there are only 3 things you need to work towards: Booze, Pot, and Sex.

I can go on for hours, don't feel too bad. The way I've always found to 'train' them out of doing such things is to be very sarcastic, tongue-in-cheek, but point out what they're doing... so next time they say "Dude I'm so fucked up" say something akin to "No, you think? Considering we just smoked x amount of weed." OK, that line sucks but you get the gist of it I hope.

LOL, I hate that. It's a buzz kill. But I must admit, if I smoke enough or combine weed with something harder I may slip "OH SHIT MAN! I am SOO FUCKED UP!!"

If one particular time I'm way higher than I'd normally expect myself to be I might be like, "Damn, I'm pretty fucking high right now", but I completely agree with you. I remember there would be this one kid that would always smoke with us and he would continously say "Damn I'm so fucked up" "Damn I'm so fucking high". Those are obviously the people that just smoke to get "fucked up" so they can feel highly about themselves and tell everyone about it. Nonetheless I took advantage of the time when we were drunk and I just beat the shit out of him.

Fuck i do it all the time, and could give a fuck what other people think. Saying that i am high just gives me that happy feeling. It usually ends in laughing. What you need to realize is that people embrace pot differently. You may be the type to just sit back and enjoy with out saying a word, were as others might just be super stoked on life after a joint or 2 that they want to tell the world!

When people start saying stuff like that, try to redirect the conversation. Tell them to DESCRIBE how they feel. Descriptions are always funny and often quite interesting, I find.
