Need some advice from you guys.

Hi everyone.

I want you guys to help me with a question I have been thinking about for a while.

Iâ??ve been reading up on some posts in this forum, and I noticed a lot of similarity with the bad trips that some people have while smoking some weed. I too had a really bad trip a long time ago, and it seems to be very similar to what others have experienced.

I started smoking weed around the beginning of high school, and I ended up smoking almost everyday for several years (I smoked a lot!). Then one day in my senior year some friends brought some weed called â??BC Hydroâ?�. It was really different than what was around several years prior. The stuff I was used to was brown in colour and always had a shit load of seeds, and it always smelled great.

The new stuff was bright green, had no seeds, had orange/red hairs all over it, and it had a fruity/almost citrus smell to it. Well I took one hit, and I was gone (for almost 5 hours). Within 40 seconds I blacked out, my legs felt heavy for a second then the feeling went away, then everything was warped, time and sound was so distorted and I felt reality slip away. I felt like I was dying (which seems to be a common thing with bad trips as far as Iâ??ve read on these forums). I saw trails and I began to scream like crazy. This lasted for 5 hours straight. I didnâ??t touch weed again.

But it didnâ??t end there. For the next three months whenever I went to sleep (or felt really tired) I would have the sense that I was slipping out of my body and I began to feel the bad trip come back (I still have that to this day sometimes). I heard a song (a really stupid song, something about putting up a parking lot) during the bad trip and if I hear that song (or if I smell someone smoking weed for a year after that happened)â?¦â?¦my body automatically re-creates the bad trip (except to a smaller extent and it usually becomes a small panic attack with minor sensory distortion).

Now from what Iâ??ve read it maybe the difference between smoking a indica strain for many years then all of a sudden smoking a sativa strainâ?¦â?¦â?¦but I cant be sure of that.

One of my best highs when I got this really amazing bud (which had a shit load of pitch black seeds) and the smell was absolutely the best (I can still smell it in my mind) and my friend said it was skunkâ?¦..now from what Iâ??ve read skunk is mostly sativa (but then again I cant be 100% sure it was skunk, its not like it comes with labels only what my friend said). I really regret not saving those seeds back in high school!!

I want to try again because I do miss the good feelings I had from it but I am scared to death not to have a bad trip like that againâ?¦..I know weed is harmless and hasnâ??t killed anyone, but I really donâ??t want to go through that psychotic event again.:confused:

Iâ??m used to weed giving me a clear-headed/no distortions, no trails, no panicâ?¦..just a good feeling, happiness, perma-smile, and it would eventually always make me feel sleepy, sometimes cotton-mouth and laugh attacks, and thatâ??s it. Which strain you guys suggest I give a try to get the good-old stoned feelings back??:stoned:

I mean there must be a strain that does what I remember it didâ?¦â?¦â?¦otherwise medical users like cancer or AIDS patients would be tripping out eventually during their treatmentsâ?¦â?¦â?¦.and I donâ??t think that has ever happenedâ?¦â?¦.or at least never heard of it happening?

sounds to me like you were smokin regs and middies all the time, then got some actual good bud that knocked you on your ass.

First of all if your weed was brown in color and has seeds o' plenty, you aren't smoking good weed. The green stuff with the orange hairs sounds like good MJ though. I have heard a lot of stories similar to this. All that happened is that you smoked some really good weed and weren't used to the high.

A 5 hour high is nearly unheard of though.

Skunk, from what I understand is just slang for good weed by some.

As for feeling the effects a year later, that is just your mind. There are certain smells that make me remember old memories etc.

I wouldn't be worried, it just sounds like you were used to smoking low grade weed, so when you smoked good stuff, the high scared you.

Than again, the weed could have been laced, but again, that is very unlikely.

It sounds to me that you have developed a panic disorder. That's why when you are reminded of the situation, you begin to feel anxious and nutso. Look it up.

Yeah definately got caught off guard with some sexy buddha when you weren't used to a good high.

The sensation (whenever I was sleepy or tired) that stuck around 3 months after that happened wasnt anything panicky..........it just felt really weird. The flashback type of stuff would occur but as each month went by it occurred less and less.

I wasnt the only one where this occurred to either. This batch of weed seriously fucked up some mega-stoners. There were rumours that it was laced with some shit, but I really doubt it.

Yeah actually the seedy, brown stuff was really great. But as time went by no one ever had it anymore, and it became impossible to find at my high school.

So which strains do you guys recommend I give a try?
