Trichrome maturation during flushing...

I was wondering if the speed of which a trichrome matures slows down when you begin flushing.

For example, if I decide not to flush (I will flush, it's easier for demonstrative purposes), and give food for the last week, will my trichs be more mature, i.e. more amber, than if I flush for the last week? I had heard somewhere that you want to start flushing when the trichs are close (but not quite) to what you want to harvest, which would lead me to believe that the process slows when you're flushing.

What I'm actually trying to figure out is when to start a 3 week flush. My goal is to harvest when trichs are 70/30 milky/amber. I am planning on running Final Phase through my system for 12 hours (as per instructions from AN), then 20 mL/ga Sweet + distilled water for week 1, 10 mL/ga Sweet + distilled water for week 2, and distilled water for week 3 - always pH adjusted of course. I am guessing with a 3 week flush and my trich goals, that I should start when the trichs are 70/30 milky/clear, though I'm not sure how quick the trichs mature as it's my first grow, so any help is appreciated. during flushing the plant is doing everything the same as it was, its just now breaking down all the chemicals you gave it throughout the grow and using up its stored nutrients, the tri's should be maturing just the same as they have been. 3 weeks is alittle early for a flush, also depending on your nutrients, most organics break down immediatly, and most chem ferts take a week to break down, this just helps with the curing process and good smoke, are you flushing or are u just cutting the nutes at 3 weeks, there is a difference, check out the flushing thread i think zandor or latewood made its a sticky so look it up.
