I live in WI, so you can imagine it is pretty damned cold. My aunt/uncle say I can't keep my bud in the house, sooo would it damage it at all to keep it outside my window in a tin container?

I don't think it would, but that might be a good Ideo because I live in mineesota
make it a glass jar
I'm pretty sure that the temperature will not damage the goods too badly, I hear of people putting weed in their freezers and such. Don't quote me on that but I'm pretty sure it's correct.
However, protecting the weed from the elements and drying it out is a must. A mason jar or pickling jar would provide the best container; however, a glad/tupperware container would probably also suffice.
if you can get a mason or jelly jar those would be your best bet, do you have a barn or garage you can put it in incase it rains out?
the cold wont affect it i put my herb in the freezer all the time with no ill effects and have stored it up to 3 months, the sun however will make the herb go bad in days.
