drug test for NA came back - through the roof

I had to take a test for the intake of a inpatient treatment, by court order (probation).

I got a letter in the mail talking about me from the view of the dr from the assesment. I failed the THC test and had a score of 698 ng/ml. She told me, that a fail is 20.

I guess thats what non stop smoking for the past 4 years and started smoking 7 years ago.

That is about what a daily smoker of a joint a day will test out at-about 500-700 ng/ml.

But they dont test for THC, as THC itself is out of your body after about 3 hours. It's the other cannabinoids.

Edit: Here's a bit of info.

"2. Drug tests do NOT detect THC. You could drop a bud into water and stick a drug test in. It will read negative. Every time. Drug tests look for the byproduct of THC consumption in your body, not the drug itself."

Lip, a lot of times I get lazy and type THC instead of THC metabolites. A lot of people use the two terms as if they were interchangeable in the drug testing forum but of course you are right. There are 31 THC metabolites immunoassay looks for and GC/MS looks only for THC-COOH.

Not really, but I have to start in patient treatment and NA meetings end of the month. I am just complying with their rules, because I know I am moving out of country in febuary.

Cool. I hope to move out to nova scotia some day, thats a bit of a pipe dream sadly, but one day, one day i'll be there, toking up lol.

I always wanted to move to America, but the laws are so reduculous i'd just not bother now.

Canada is where i want to be.

But for now, im stuck in the smoggy air of London lol.
