good results from fluorescent tube

does anybody have good results from using fluorescent lighting ? casue i cant afford hid,hps or any other ones so i am stuck with the cheap lights

this plant has been grown under 2x14 watt flourescents

how do u get it so bushy?

Well I guess your limited to some degree but not completely,depends if you bring those lights real close,a bigger step up would be a metal hilade lamp or hps system but if your asking can you grow good weed with just flourecent? I would say most certainly but those lights have to be real close,also 24/7 light cycle for vegatation stage would be a plus,but when it comes to flowering cycle I would use full spectrum flourecents both blue/red colour,,,,,at one time all they did was grow weed under flourecents because that was the only way other then direct sunlight.....you may lack some big yeild(weight) but you can get all those branch's to run up and down with good bud!......if your going to continue to let your plant grow straight up you may take away light from the bud site's considering flourecents can't penatrate into the canaopy of leaves,when the bud comes it may suffer the opportuniy of getting some decent lumens of light,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,just before flowering you should tie your plant over/on it's side in hopes of exsposing the bud sites! or scrog meathod would be cool but seeing that you have the one plant tie her over allowing the stock and all stem branch's to get extra light!.......I found plants grew well straight up under flourecents but once put into flowering the bud sites were in darkness,tie her over man or you may find bud just on the top of her! 10 grams if your lucky!.......tie her over and you could do a couple of ounce's for sure!.good luck.........here is a part of my set up/note I often flowered also under those lights and did well...

datfire i topped the plant and just keep the lights close to the plant like 2"-4"
bruiser the plant in the pic(whitewidow) is now in flower alongside my superskunks under the 250 watt hps,the superskunks have got about 4 days left till harvest then the WW will have all the 250 watt hps light to itself while its clones catch up under the flouros,once the superskunks are done and out of the space ill be tying the ww down

Datfire, a good an easy way to make branches is to do the FIM top. To do this, let it grow untill there are 5 sets of leaves and one that is developing, once the devolping set (6th) is well seperated, cut just below the node leaving a leafless stick above the 5th node. You will get the secondary branches from the 5th node to become tops and the stick will give way to one or tops. Also, for more tops, cut it right at the 6th node leaving a "Y" shape. (the Y is the main stalk and two forming branches) when I do this i get a total of 4 tops!
