merry christmas.....you owe $200

ok heres a little background. last year, oct 3rd, i had a little accident at work, partially amputated my finger. 7 hrs later, stitched up and ready to go home. since the injury occured at work, workman's comp is SUPPOSED to cover my hospital visit, and i should get a check for the 2 and a half weeks that i missed of work. they do cover my hospital visit, but i never received that check, which i wasnt gonna bitch about.

im currently at home, waiting for my boy to deliver some goods. well i get a call from a private number, and for the hell of it, i pick up. its some radiology business. because they are an "out of network" operation, i still have to pay $176. which isnt that bad, until he gives me this little nugget of joy.....i have today to make a payment before they file me for negative credit report.

WTF? its christmas time. its been 14 months and 3 days since the accident occured. they are JUST calling me today, and then giving me this shit? wtf?

credit collectors love to fuck with your head
ask to speak to a supervisor or arrange a payment plan
starting after the holidays
they are just trying to scare you

i owed ballys like 2000 dollars
i ended up settling that debt for 486.00
they will jack you if you let em

thanks for the advice. i got off the phone with a friend, and she said as long as i keep sending in bits of money that they accept, they cant do shit to me. i talked with the guy that had called me, and asked if i could do some sort of payment plan. he wanted 100 todya, but i cant even do that. then he asked 50, so again i said nope, told him maybe 30. im gonna tell them 25, take it or leave it.

i really do want to deal with this after the hollidays though.

i had some collectors write to me about a debt 11yrs ago,i told them to f**k off,they r now takeing me to court,i will not pay this debt no matter what,if it comes to it i will declare myself bankrupt rather than pay

You should speak to the case manager for your insurance company, or the company who handled the claim. Check for the possibility that it was a billing error, and seek a reprieve for lack of notification.

when you make the deal,,, stick to it and record your payments...
