well it is actually a site created by the Conan O'Brien Show

the "webcam horny manatee" was part of a sketch making fun of College Mascots...

in the next show they claimed that because the spoof included a fake website "www.hornymanatee.com" various internet regulations meant that they had to buy the actual domain name.

Apparently if a tv show mentions a website, even in jest, and it doesn't exist they have to buy the domain name becaue it may disuade the public from attempting to buy the url. E.G. I would have bought hornymanatee.com but thought someone had already purchased it because I saw it being brodcast on tv.

weird huh?
