I think you guys should create either a) a forum specifically for lighting and/or b) a 'sticky' for lighting faq's. the indoor growing section is clogged with lighting questions, many of which are very similar. segregating these questions or helping to answer as many of these q's as possible would be very helpful.

ok I am going to bring this up one more time. I think there should be a Lighting Subforum in Indoor growing, with a sticky attatched if possible, because there are SO MANY lighting questions!!!!!! I'm sure I am not the only one who has noticed this... I think it would help de-clutter some of the other forums.
Have a sticky and I think the mods should start deleting/closing threads which are asking bluntly obvious questions which a search or checking FAQ's would answer.
By not enforcing the Search then post guiding/rule we are encouraging that behaviour.
I also don’t understand why there are so many lighting questions. It’s probably the most straight forward part of growing.

No sticky but a sub forum is a good idea, I will ask sundance.
cool...yeah a sticky would be hard to make because lighting is such a diverse topic. if someone wanted to make some guides, we could eventually have a few stickies- like Photo Period, Compact Florescents, Ballast Set-Up, etc. But thanks for the reply!

I like to help new growers but get annoyed answering the same question 10 times a day
I’ve got the Growers bible + lots of notes (some from you)
Which I’ll write up in hopes that it’ll answer 50% of the questions?
Things like
Light intensity
Benefits of different kinds of lighting (cfl, hps, mh, led, so on)
So boring science stuff I always like to write about.
Can mods edit my posts?
If so i’ll write it up then someone, maybe zandor, could check it over and change things if necessary?
Sound good?
