Vegging under 1x20w daylight T8, is this a waste of time or do i really need a bigger light ? I know they won`t grow like crazy but will it work at all? I only have 2 seedlings, thanks all.

maybe id get some cfls or something more then that
When you say CFL i`d be better with an envirolite (6500k) yeah ?
Rather than a small 30w CFL.
You need more light. To get any sort of growth happeining, I have read acticles saying you need, at least, 50W of light per sq/ft of lighting.
Without proper lighting, the plant will stretch upwards reaching for more light, and without it, the stem will grow too tall, eventually not being able to hold up its own weight.
I suggest you get a couple 25W CFL's and use that current one you have, for a total of 70W. That will do now for veg., one plant, but when flowering time comes, you will need to at least double your wattage.
Try to grow in a small space for best light reflection. Avoid an open space as light travels, but with walls surrounding a small space for 1 plant, you could easily conceal it and get decent smoke.
try to find some daylight cfls they have them at lowes and there 30 watts
Thanks for the usefull info i thought that bloom was when you needed a shit-load of light as the video i watched only used a simple 4 foot florescent tube to veg and then an HPS to bloom.Quote:
