ok i used to skate, and there was a kid in my grade who was really good, became an amatuer for krooked. bobby worrest, amazing to think i can just type his name in you tube and see vids of him.

lol i found my board under my bed the other day and took it outside to see if i still could... i knew how to ollie lol. i might start back up.
thats really cool though, to know someone like that, im friends with a few people who are really good skaters and snowboarders, i wouldnt be surprized if some of them get sponsored, that would be cool.

when i was WAY younger i knew a dude, who was heavy into bmxing, had a sponsor and everything (he wasn't pro at the time) then years later i seen him on espn... very weird feeling indeed.... he was gonna give me his old bike when he got a new one, but by the date he was supposed to get his new one, his parents had already been outta state...

i'm a no0bish skater. I just picked up a board this year. Pain aside its been a blast, It would be sweet if i had an 1/8 of the tallent to turn even am.
I used to know a guy who was into that dirt biking thing, Motocross I believe it's called. He had sponsers, free bikes, free gear, all of it. He then threw it all away for hard drugs, and now he lives in a small trailer in a park in a two-bit redneck town in Alberta...no bikes anymore, nothing. He just stays up all night playing x-box and smoking m***
So sad.
I used to a skater myself. I still love to go down to the park and watch people skate, but I quit a good 7yrs ago. I snapped my ankle by rolling it and ever since then I hadn't been able to skate, so one day I said fuck it. :p I don't really miss the skating part, but i miss hanging out with my friends all day where we did nothing but skating. It was our life, and I still have a homemade DC tattoo on my leg. It looks like shit, but it will always give me that memory of those glory days, where you were so sure that's what you'd do for the rest of your life. :p
I can't recall anyone I grew up with ever becoming famous... I will at random from now on install names from my past into google,could be a trip... Thanks for the idea...
