i only have one of his albums(Apostrophe'/Overnight Sensation), and the music is okay when your sober, but when your high, it tells a whole different story. the story is completley random. when your high, it makes sense. anyone else like him?

St. Alfonso Pancake breakfast,Where I stole the Margarine... Zappa is an old fav of mine,,,Fur Sure...
Zappa was very anti-drug, so if you're enjoying his music while high keep in mind that it was not written for that purpose.
Anyway, Cruising with Ruben and the Jets, and Absolutely Free, are two albums by the Mothers that I still have on vinyl.
frank zappa was amazing. I'm going to see zappa plays zappa in december at the house of blues. I can't wait.
Who is this Frank Zappa character you keep talking about? I've never heard of him. He sounds like sucks major.

I enjoy most all of his stuff with the Mothers of Invention, although I am still aquiring a taste for some of the solo albums. If you really dig Zappa then you should definitely check out Captain Beefheart. They were friends who I believe went to the same highschool, his music is similar to Zappa's.
Breukelen Advocaat is right about the anti-drug views though... I always enjoy the irony of listening to Zappa when under the influence of whatever I may be.
zappa produced beefheart's seminal album trout mask replica. they also have an album together called 'bongo fury'.
